When is my bill due?
The Due Date will show in the top right corner of your bill.

What period is this bill for?
The period of your bill will be located in the centre information box of the bill, labeled “Billing Period”.

What is the Administration Fee?
This is a flat rate service fee charged by PBSI. This fee includes production of individualized bills, online monitoring of meters, meter data retrieval and customer service.

I have never seen an Administration or Customer Fee on my utility bill before. Why?
Most utilities will include their Administration or Customer charge in the “Delivery” line item of their bill.  Priority Billing Solutions discloses all charges in line items so there is no question what you are paying for.

I have purchased a condominium as an investment only and still receive a bill. What benefit is sub-metering to me?
The benefit of sub-metering to the investor is that your individual suite usage will not likely be included in your maintenance fees.  Condominiums that are not sub-metered must include for in suite utilities in their monthly maintenance fees and usually do this by calculating a cost per month based on square footage.   This could make your maintenance fees significantly higher and costs you more money.

How often am I charged the Administration Fee?
This fee is charged on every bill that is produced.

How is my meter read?
Your meter is read remotely through a data line.

Do I need to be home for the meter reading?
No. Because your meter is read through a data line, you do not need to be home.

What happens if I pay late?
If there is a late charge on your bill and you pay your bill late, this charge will be applied in the next billing period.

If a payment is returned Non-sufficient Funds, what is the fee?
The standard charge for an NSF payment is $25.00.

How do I set-up for Pre-Authorized Payment?
Please print a Pre-Authorized Payment Form and send a VOID cheque to our office with your PBSI account number written in the memo section. Terms and Conditions.

How soon after I send a VOID cheque will my Pre-Authorized Payments begin?
Pre-authorized Payments (PAP) usually begin in the next billing cycle after your VOID cheque is received at the PBSI office.  At the bottom of your bill, next to the amount due, it will say “by pre-authorized payment”.

Why is my bill so high?
There are a number of reasons why your bill may be high.  The most likely reason is that your consumption has gone up without you realizing it.  Check throughout your home to ensure that no electrical appliances have been left on and use major appliances wisely.   Please visit our Energy Conservation and You page for tips on how to reduce your consumption.
